Action this day! - Post Quantum Cryptography Transition from a HSM Vendor perspective

The Quantum Threat puts the core of Cyber Security at risk - the security of currently used cryptography is affected by a cryptographically relevant quantum computer (CRQC). The point in time of the advent of a CRQC is still unclear - however regulation already fixed dates for transitions of use cases to PQC. This regulation accelerates the need for PQC support in the supply chain of use cases, especially for HSMs as the roots of trust. Additionally, design criteria like transparency, interoperability and addressing the vendor lock-in are established as best practices. In this talk we want to share a HSM vendors perspective, share lessons learned in transition use cases and give concrete recommendations and best practices for future use case transitions.
