Update on the ECCG subgroup on cryptography
Henri Gilbert (ANSSI, Distinguished Expert in Cryptography)
Philippe Blot (ENISA, Head of Sector Certification)
Philippe Blot from ENISA will present the activities of the ECCG subgroup on cryptography related to the development and maintenance of a list of Agreed Cryptographic Mechanisms (ACM) and of a common evaluation methodology of cryptography supporting in particular the EUCC scheme.
After Philippe Blot (ENISA), Henri Gilbert will continue to outline the purpose and content of the European cryptography guidelines ACM (Agreed Cryptographic Mechanisms), a crypto catalogue primarily addressed to the developers and evaluators of security products evaluated under the European cybersecurity certification scheme EUCC.
A particular emphasis will be put on ACM requirements related to the mitigation of the quantum threat, e.g. the use of agreed post-quantum algorithms (where agreed stands for ``mutually recognized by national certification authorities in EU’’), their proper dimensioning and their hybridization with trusted pre-quantum algorithms.
