Sofía Serrat is Senior Manager of Legal for Technology, Digital, and Data at Banco Santander. She, alongside with her team, provide legal advice to the bank’s technology areas, covering digital transformation projects, technology agreements, digital banking, and regulatory matters including banking secrecy, data protection, Quantum and AI. Previously, she served as Senior Legal Counsel for Santander Group Cybersecurity, coordinating legal guidance for headquarters and local entities. Before joining Santander, Sofía was Senior Lawyer and Data Protection Officer for three airlines within the International Airlines Group (IAG), and earlier worked in the Technology, Information, Communication, and Media team at PwC. She holds a dual degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, an LL.M. from IE Business School (sponsored by PwC – Landwell).
