María Isabel González Vasco holds a Chair of Excellence in the Department of Mathematics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and serves as Vice President of the Spanish Royal Mathematical Society. With over two decades of experience in mathematical cryptography, her research focuses on provable security for classical and post-quantum cryptography (PQC). Author of over 60 scientific publications and co-inventor of two patents, she currently leads the Spanish node of the NATO-funded project Secure Communication via Classical and Quantum Technologies, which develops cryptographic protocols for secure group communication on distributed hybrid networks integrating PQC and quantum key distribution.
