
Gabriele Spini

Scientist in Cryptology
Gabriele Spini is a researcher in Cryptology. He has a background in Mathematics, and obtained his double PhD degree from the Universities of Leiden, the Netherlands, and Bordeaux, France, in 2017. Since then, he has focused on research on applied cryptology, first in the Netherlands (at the national centre for Mathematics and Computer Science, CWI, and at the Dutch organisation for applied scientific research, TNO), and as of April 2024 at the Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna. His main research interests are Secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Post-Quantum Cryptography. He has been scientific lead in large consortium projects, has contributed to standardisation activities, co-created and co-developed several MPC solutions, and gave guest lectures at universities.
