
Daniel Loebenberger

Daniel Loebenberger received his doctorate in cryptography from the University of Bonn in 2012. He conducted research and taught there until the end of 2015. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as an IT security expert specializing in cryptography at genua GmbH, a subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei GmbH (the German Federal Printing Office), focusing on various topics related to professional high-security components. In January 2019, he was appointed Fraunhofer-endowed Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden, where he also heads the Weiden site of Fraunhofer AISEC. His research focuses on applied post-quantum cryptography and quantum-safe infrastructures, specifically semi-formal migration models.
