Anja Lehmann is a professor for cryptography at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute (HPI) at the University of Potsdam. One of her main research areas is privacy-preserving authentication through zero-knowledge proofs. Before joining HPI in 2020, she was a researcher at IBM Research – Zurich, where she worked on anonymous credential systems such as IBM’s Idemix. Since October 2024, she also works for the German EUDI team at SPRIND to enable the use of anonymous credentials in the European identity wallet.
